Founder of Bloom Psychology & Wellness
Meghan Watson is a licensed psychotherapist, wellness consultant and writer based in Toronto, Canada. In 2020, she founded Bloom Psychology & Wellness, a group therapy practice led by primarily Black, Indigenous, South Asian and multiracial clinicians who are dedicated to building strong connections and fostering emotional growth in communities of colour.
With more than a decade of experience, Meghan’s clinical work supports BIPOC individuals and couples navigating mood and anxiety challenges,processing trauma, managing burnout, exploring body image and cultivating healthier relationships.Born and raised in Barbados, she has shared her expertise across Canada and the United States as a consultant, writer and creator.
From 2020 to 2023, Meghan served as Resident Therapist at Alkeme Health, a Black mental health startup. There she designed and directed mental health programming, shaped brand philosophy, handled workshops and content creation for Alkeme’s app, technology and enterprise partners.
As an independent consultant, she has developed workshops and content for McDonald’s Black andPositively Golden HBCU program, the University of British Columbia, the American PsychologicalAssociation and Hearst Publications, while also hosting panels, wellness events and brand activations.
A sought-after expert, Meghan’s insights have appeared in Essence, Real Simple, Health,HuffPost, Global News Canada, Architectural Digest, Bustle, Well+Good and Insider. She sits on the advisory board of the National Eating Disorder Information Centre of Canada and The Scatter Joy Project, a US nonprofit that champions affordable health care. Meghan is also a member of the Alliance Collaborative at the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, a collective of leaders and activists driving systemic change in mental health.
